The Leaf-Cutters 'Fungus Garden' provides an enhanced income of food for your colony, you need only 1 of these gardens, and it also assumes the same role as a Silo. Leaves collected are used to grow fungus, this fungus is then used as food instead of the leaves themselves. This slightly increases the time it takes for a leaf to become usable food, but gives you much more for that leaf. The garden starts at a 10% bonus, and by sending in Minims to tend to it, you can reach a total bonus of 50%!

The garden can only handle so much food at any one time, if you collect faster than the garden can grow, you will not be receiving the full benefit of the bonus, this problem is solved by constructing Waste Chambers.

Note: building multiple gardens is not advisable, this averages out your bonus, and the capacity benefit is the same as constructing a couple of Waste Chambers. Therefore the only valid reason to build two gardens(both filled with minims) is for redundancy, so if one is destroyed, the bonus is not lost.
